Paris, February 14 – Food enthusiasts rejoice! The Grand Paris Bakers’ Union has unveiled the results of the 2026 Grand Paris Best Pastry Trophy. The 17th edition of this prestigious competition saw Cédric Arsac of Boulangerie Lorette in the 13th arrondissement claim the top prize. The announcement was made yesterday, February 13, 2026, following a rigorous judging process.
A Fierce Competition Among Parisian Pastry Chefs
This year’s competition attracted a significant number of participants, with 86 professionals from Paris, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, and Val-de-Marne showcasing their culinary talents. The participants submitted their creations on February 10 at the Grand Paris Bakers’ Union headquarters for evaluation by the jury.
To qualify for the top honor, pastry chefs were required to present a batch of eight individual pastries. This included four chocolate éclairs and four non-meringued lemon tarts. The jury meticulously assessed each creation based on several criteria, including presentation, cream quality, baking, and overall flavor harmony.
Boulangerie Lorette Takes the Crown
After careful deliberation, Cédric Arsac, artisan and business owner of Boulangerie Lorette, located at 2 rue de la Butte aux Cailles in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, emerged as the victor. His exceptional pastries secured him the first-place position in this highly anticipated regional ranking.
Following closely behind Arsac was Youssef Afantrous of Boulangerie Paris & Co, situated at 4 rue de la Convention in the 15th arrondissement of the capital. Frédéric Antunes of Les Délices de Fred, located at 58 avenue Pierre Brossolette in Le Perreux-sur-Marne, Val-de-Marne, completed the podium, securing the third position.
