Paris, June 25, 2026 – The 19th Summer Crossing of Paris by vintage vehicles, a highly anticipated event for enthusiasts and the general public, is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2026. Organized by Vincennes en Anciennes, this unique parade will showcase a diverse collection of historic automobiles, motorcycles, and other vehicles, offering a vibrant spectacle across the French capital.

A Journey Through Haussmann’s Paris

The 33.5 km route will take participants and spectators on a journey through the heart of Paris, specifically designed to highlight the grand urban transformations initiated by Baron Haussmann. The procession will allow for admiration of the iconic Haussmannian stone buildings, the harmonious urban planning, and the beautiful green spaces and monuments that define the city’s aesthetic. The route will hug the left bank of the Seine, traverse the 16th arrondissement, and culminate at the Terrace of the Meudon Observatory, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Paris.

An Eclectic Fleet of Historic Vehicles

The event is expected to feature an impressive array of approximately 650 cars, 150 two-wheelers (including around ten bicycles), 5 AMTUIR buses, 1 tank transporter, and about ten tractors, all over 30 years old. Among the notable models anticipated are a 1923 Landaulet de Dion-Bouton coupé, a 1917 BSA motorcycle, two 1926 Citroën B12 Torpédo, a 1939 Peugeot 202, a 1951 Société Française Vierzon 302 tractor, a 1964 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III, and a 1970 Matra 530 LX.

Thierry Briet, President of Vincennes en Anciennes, commented, “The Crossing of Paris in vintage vehicles will offer a magical, colorful, and joyful spectacle in the capital. It will bring the carefree spirit of holidays and the joy of sharing a unique moment, whether one is part of an crew or a simple spectator. The picnic in Meudon will allow everyone to gather and admire the vehicles in a musical atmosphere.”

International Participation and Unique Discoveries

Crews from across France and more than ten other countries, including Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, are expected to participate. The suggested dress code for the crews is white, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The Traversées de Paris events are renowned for their element of surprise, often featuring rare and even disappeared brands such as Chenard & Walker, de Dion-Bouton, Delahaye, Hispano Suiza, and Panhard. The event also brings together a mix of sports cars (Porsche, Alpine A 110), popular vehicles (2 CV, Traction), and luxury cars (Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Mercedes, Jaguar), spanning decades from the 1920s to the 1990s, creating an eclectic and rich mobile museum.

Experience the Past Aboard Vintage Buses

For those without a vintage vehicle, the opportunity to reserve a seat on a 1930s platform bus, driven by AMTUIR chauffeurs, offers a unique way to experience the event. Passengers can enjoy the ride and observe the vintage advertisements displayed inside the buses, providing a glimpse into a bygone era.
