EasyJet Inaugurates New London Stansted – Paris-Charles de Gaulle Route
Paris, France (March 11, 2026) – British airline easyJet has officially inaugurated a new direct bi-weekly service connecting London Stansted Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport. The new route, which commenced on March 6, 2026, is expected to significantly boost both tourist and business traffic between the two European capitals.
The service operates twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays throughout March, before transitioning to Mondays and Fridays for the summer season. This schedule offers increased flexibility for travelers, whether for short breaks, romantic weekends, or business trips. Tickets are currently available from £36.99 (approximately 43 euros), according to easyJet’s official website.
EasyJet Bolsters Presence at London Stansted
With this latest addition, easyJet now operates seven routes from London Stansted Airport, which is owned by the Manchester Airports Group (MAG). Cairan Brannigan, Commercial Director of London Stansted Airport, expressed enthusiasm for the new connection: “We are delighted to see this new flight to Paris take off, a key destination in our expanding European network. We are confident that this route will be highly successful with both business and leisure travelers across the region.”
Stansted Airport, located 50 km northeast of London, is primarily known for its flights to Mediterranean and Central European destinations. The introduction of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle route strengthens North London’s connectivity to major European capitals, a segment historically dominated by Ryanair and British Airways via Gatwick or Heathrow.
Integrated Travel Options with easyJet Holidays
In conjunction with the new flight, easyJet holidays, the airline’s integrated tour operator, has introduced “flight + hotel” packages to Paris. These comprehensive deals allow customers to book complete travel packages, a growing trend in the British market, offering a simplified and economical approach to travel. This comes at a time when tourism to France continues to be strong.
According to Atout France, British tourist visits to Paris increased by nearly 9% in 2025. This growth is attributed to the post-Covid market recovery and the anticipation of major sporting and cultural events in 2026, including various world exhibitions and summer festivals.
Paris: A Premier Destination for British Travelers
Despite competition from Eurostar, Paris remains one of the most popular destinations from the United Kingdom. Travelers are drawn to its iconic landmarks, world-renowned museums, and vibrant culinary scene. Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Director, commented: “We are thrilled to offer passengers in the region more choice and connectivity at highly competitive fares. This new route between two major European capitals aligns with our commitment to continuously expand our network.” Beyond leisure travelers, the route also targets business travelers, for whom Paris and London remain leading economic hubs.
Strategic Positioning Among European Airports
This new connection re-establishes a direct link between Stansted and Charles-de-Gaulle, a route that had been discontinued for several years in favor of Orly or Luton. EasyJet is thus consolidating its Parisian presence alongside its bases at Orly and Paris-CDG, and reinforcing cross-Channel services amid a strong resurgence in air traffic between France and the United Kingdom (+13% in 2025 according to Eurocontrol).
The airline, which transported over 90 million passengers in 2025, continues to expand its short-haul European network – a strategic focus as the summer season approaches.
