Jewish Teen Attacked and Robbed in Paris, One Suspect Arrested
Paris, February 10, 2026 – A 13-year-old Jewish boy was assaulted and robbed by five individuals in the 18th arrondissement of Paris on Monday evening, February 9th, around 7:10 PM, according to information obtained by Valeurs actuelles. The incident occurred on Avenue de la Porte de la Chapelle as the teenager was on his way to the synagogue, carrying a kippah in his hand. According to his statement to the police, five individuals accosted him, demanding his jacket and that he empty his pockets. He reported being tripped, punched in the face, and having a knife held to his throat before his Airpods were stolen.
Antisemitic Slurs and Ongoing Investigation
The victim explicitly stated that his attackers used antisemitic slurs, calling him a “dirty Jew.” He managed to scare off his aggressors, who abandoned the weapon at the scene. Presenting minor contusions, he received medical attention but declined transport to the hospital.
“During this assault, the minor was in a video conversation with an interlocutor, who identified one of the aggressors, who was quickly apprehended,” stated the Paris public prosecutor’s office, contacted by Valeurs actuelles. Kalilou K., 18 years old, was arrested at his home on Rue Tristan Tzara around 8:50 PM and taken into police custody, a police source confirmed. The other four suspects remain at large.
“The investigation continues into the offenses of armed robbery and armed violence, by a group, and aggravated by discrimination, in order to identify and apprehend the other perpetrators,” added the Paris public prosecutor’s office. The case has been assigned to the 18th arrondissement police station.
