According to a police source, a suicide note was found on the victim, along with a receipt for the knife, dated the same day, and its packaging.
Wife Reported Disappearance After Farewell Letter
Almost simultaneously, a woman presented herself at the police station in the 19th arrondissement to report the disappearance of her partner, having found a farewell letter. The two cases were immediately linked. The victim’s wife informed police that she did not understand his actions. An investigation has been opened by the Paris public prosecutor’s office.
Investigation Underway, No Witnesses or Surveillance Footage
While the suicide theory is currently being prioritized, the motive remains unknown. The body of the deceased has been transported to the medico-legal institute for an autopsy.
