The Eiffel Tower’s ‘Vertige de la Tour’ Returns: High-Flying Thrills and a New Spring Terrace
One year after its successful debut, the ‘Vertige de la Tour’ experience, featuring France’s highest urban suspension bridge, is back at the Eiffel Tower’s first floor. Starting today, March 17, 2026, visitors can once again enjoy this spectacular and friendly attraction, now enhanced by a brand-new spring terrace. This unique offering combines an exhilarating aerial walk with a delightful gourmet break, all set against the breathtaking panorama of Paris.
What is ‘Le Vertige de la Tour’?
The ‘Vertige de la Tour’ is a 40-meter-long suspended net bridge, stretching between the East and West pillars of the monument, approximately 60 meters above the ground. Designed by the specialized company Arboricorde, this structure is the highest urban suspension bridge in France. It offers a unique sensation of walking literally above the void, providing a spectacular perspective of the Iron Lady and the Parisian cityscape. The attraction is 100% secure, fully enclosed by two layers of knotted nets (25,000 meshes!) and an anti-fall mesh. Its resistance is over 30,000 kg/m².

The ‘Vertige de la Tour’ is a free attraction for all visitors who have an Eiffel Tower ticket. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is ‘Le Vertige de la Tour’?
It’s a 40m long net walkway, exclusively designed with nets, connecting the East and West pillars of the monument on the 1st floor, at a height of 60m. Your mission, if you accept it, is to cross this suspended bridge and experience dizzying sensations similar to those of a Himalayan bridge in the mountains!
Who is the experience for?
The ‘Vertige de la Tour’ attraction is open to all Eiffel Tower visitors with a ticket, adults and children from 3 years old. Children under 12 must be accompanied by at least one adult. ‘Le Vertige de la Tour’ is obviously not recommended for people suffering from severe vertigo. Due to the configuration of the walkway, only accessible by stairs, the attraction is not accessible to visitors with reduced mobility (in wheelchairs, or using canes or crutches).
What are the risks?
The only risk is wanting to do it again! The walkway is 100% caged by 2 superimposed layers of knotted nets (25,000 meshes!) and surrounded by an anti-fall mesh. The walkway is extremely solid and held in place by multiple parallel and lateral cables. Its resistance is over 30,000kg/m².
How to participate?
The attraction is free for Eiffel Tower visitors and open every day from March 17 to May 3, 2026. The walkway is located on the 1st floor, which is accessible by stairs on the way up, and by elevator or stairs on the way down.
