The Paris Stock Exchange closed the session with a decline, in a calm context marked by reduced activity before the festivities. At the same time, precious metals continued their progression: gold and silver are trading at record levels, supported by expectations of interest rate cuts in the United States.

Key Company Movements

Crédit Agricole (-0.26% to 17.555) reduced the resources allocated to its liquidity contract entrusted to Kepler Cheuvreux, reaffirming the existing agreement aimed at supporting the market animation of its shares on Euronext Paris, following the recent resumption of this mechanism after a share buyback program.

Icade (+0.85% to 21.42) completed the sale of the Le Mauvin business park to logistics specialist Sogaris, strengthening its asset rotation plan focused on concentrating its real estate portfolio towards strategic segments.

Abivax gained 15.40% to 115.40 following market information suggesting that American pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly, well-established in global health and active in recent gene therapy acquisitions, was interested in a potential takeover of the French biotechnology group.

Ipsen (-0.75% to 119.40) announced an exclusive license agreement expanding its early-stage development portfolio, obtaining worldwide rights outside Greater China for an innovative antibody-drug conjugate targeting the LRRC15 protein, with prospects for progression to the next clinical phase.

Eiffage (+0.33% to 121.90) will integrate the flagship index of the Paris Stock Exchange at the end of the annual index review, marking a notable change in the composition of this index, while Edenred will be excluded; in parallel, Nanobiotix and Lisi join the expanded index, reflecting structural movements of securities on the markets.

ArcelorMittal (+0.66% to 38.34) is expanding its portfolio of renewable energy projects in India with new solar and wind capacities, an initiative that will significantly strengthen its local energy autonomy and ultimately increase its global installed capacity.

Airbus (-0.06% to 195.72) delivered its first latest-generation long-haul aircraft to Philippine Airlines, marking the airline’s entry into the restricted circle of operators of the largest version of this aircraft dedicated to intercontinental flights.

Affluent Medical (+40.56% to 2.01) plans the acquisition of two medical device companies, which will be grouped within a new integrated entity named Carvolix, an operation fully financed by a capital increase aimed at strengthening its technological positioning.

Gensight Biologics (+0.81% to 0.10) obtained authorization from French health authorities for compassionate access to its gene therapy for patients suffering from serious and rare diseases, in a context of unmet medical need.

Sanofi (-0.97% to 81.58) concluded an agreement with US authorities to improve the accessibility of certain treatments, aligning prices in the United States with those observed in other developed countries, while supporting pharmaceutical innovation.

Market Performance

The CAC 40 index thus lost 0.37% to 8,121.07 points in low volume with 2.264 billion euros exchanged.
