New Paris-Berlin Night Train to Add Hamburg Stop This Summer
Paris, January 28, 2026 – The highly anticipated Paris-Berlin night train service, set to be launched by the Belgian-Dutch railway cooperative European Sleeper on March 26, 2026, has already announced an additional stop. From July 13, 2026, the train will include a halt at Hamburg-Harburg station, located in the south of Hamburg.
This new stop is expected to significantly improve connectivity between Western Europe, Northern Germany, and Scandinavia, according to a statement from European Sleeper. Hamburg, a major port city, offers crucial connections to Scandinavian countries such as Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Revival of a Classic Route
The Paris-Berlin night train route, previously discontinued by SNCF, is making a comeback thanks to European Sleeper. The service will connect the two capitals, with an intermediate stop in Brussels. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize night train travel across Europe.

The addition of Hamburg-Harburg to the route underscores European Sleeper’s commitment to expanding its network and offering more comprehensive travel options. The company, which successfully launched the Brussels-Prague night train in 2024, is steadily building its presence in the European night train market.

Ticket Sales and Schedule
Tickets for the Paris-Berlin night train have been available for purchase since mid-December. Prices start at 49.99€ for a basic seat, with private cabins costing upwards of 300€. The service will operate three times a week:
- Departures from Paris: Every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening.
- Departures from Berlin: Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening.
European Sleeper previously indicated to Le Monde in November that to achieve economic balance, their night trains would need a fill rate of over 60%, though specific pricing strategies to achieve this were not detailed.
