Fatal Shooting in Vénissieux Hallway

Vénissieux, March 21 – A man was pronounced dead after being shot in an apartment building hallway at 40 Boulevard Lénine in Vénissieux shortly after 7 PM on Saturday. Emergency services (SAMU) declared the victim deceased at the scene.

Critical Condition in Villeurbanne Incident

Earlier on Saturday evening, another man sustained a gunshot wound on Boulevard de la Bataille de Stalingrad in Villeurbanne, near the Tonkin district. He was transported to the hospital, where his prognosis remains critical. The exact timing of this incident was not immediately specified, but it preceded the Vénissieux shooting.

Incidents in Drug Trafficking Areas

Both shootings occurred in neighborhoods known for drug trafficking within the Lyon metropolitan area. Authorities have not yet determined if the two events are linked.
