Man Abducted, Tortured, and Raped Near Lyon for Ransom
Lyon, March 26 – A chilling case has shaken the Lyon metropolitan area, where an individual was the victim of an abduction followed by acts of barbarity, in what appears to be a particularly violent attempt at extortion. Victim Kidnapped in Broad Daylight
The abduction occurred outside a restaurant establishment in the vicinity of Lyon. Four masked men kidnapped the victim, transporting him to a detention location. The individual was then held captive in a cellar. The conditions of his sequestration remain at the heart of the ongoing investigation.

During his detention, the man endured extreme violence. The kidnappers resorted to torture, inflicting burns on their hostage. The victim was also raped. These acts were part of an extortion scheme: the kidnappers demanded a ransom payment of 100,000 euros.
Found Undressed Between Two Communes
The man was eventually found naked in the Doua sector, an area located between Lyon and Villeurbanne. His discovery allowed for a rapid intervention by emergency services. Law enforcement took him into custody around 11:00 PM, and firefighters then transported him to a medical facility.
Life-Threatening Condition Not Engaged
Despite the severity of the violence suffered, the victim’s life was not in danger at the time of his admission. However, his health condition requires careful medical monitoring.

The interdepartmental directorate of the national police of the Rhône department has opened an investigation. The investigations aim to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of these criminal acts.
