The fire started just before 12:00 PM in a 50 m² apartment facing the street. A patrol of motorcycle police officers in the area spotted smoke and flames and immediately entered the building. They ascended the floors, rescuing an elderly person and evacuating about fifteen residents before the firefighters arrived. Approximately 80 firefighters quickly responded to the scene with about twenty vehicles.

In total, six people were rescued. Besides the person in absolute emergency, whose life is not in danger but required hospitalization, nine individuals received medical care on-site for relative emergencies. The fire was brought under control by firefighters around 12:30 PM.
