Grand Frais to Open Two New Stores in Paris by 2028, Expanding Fresh Produce Market

Paris, May 9, 2026 – After the successful rollout of its mon-marché.fr concept in the capital, the Grand Frais brand has confirmed plans for further expansion in Paris with the opening of two new stores by 2028. This strategic move highlights the increasing popularity of specialized fresh produce retailers in urban centers.

In recent years, chains focusing on fresh products have rapidly expanded into city centers, with Grand Frais experiencing particularly impressive growth. According to an article in LSA, the brand intends to continue this expansion, with Paris being a key target for new points of sale.

The Rapid Expansion of Fresh Produce Concepts in City Centers

Recently, the mon-marché.fr concept, driven by the Prosol group, has established a strong presence in numerous Parisian neighborhoods. This model, centered on fresh produce, features stores of approximately 500 square meters, emphasizing proximity and convenience. These outlets offer a curated selection of high-quality, everyday products.

The brand successfully launched in Puteaux in 2025 and has since accelerated its deployment within Paris. Several openings have already taken place or are scheduled in strategic arrondissements, including the 11th, 12th, and 15th. A store also opened in the Sentier district. The primary objective of this rapid expansion is to bolster the brand’s presence in the capital.

Grand Frais Continues its Parisian Expansion

The success of mon-marché.fr has demonstrated to the Prosol group a strong demand for fresh products. As a result, Grand Frais, Prosol’s flagship brand, is now poised to enter inner-Paris. Two new store openings are reportedly planned for 2028.

These new establishments aim to strengthen the Parisian network of the group’s various brands. The group believes that all necessary conditions, both economic and real estate, are now met for an even faster expansion into certain arrondissements. A deliberately high sales threshold has been set to offset the significant costs associated with Parisian rents.

Grand Frais Adopts a Proven Strategy

The group has relied on a well-established strategy to continue its expansion. The Fresh network, developed in the suburbs, and mon-marché.fr, primarily aimed at city centers, operate in a very similar manner. They share the same product assortment and have mutualized their logistics. These two concepts already account for several dozen stores in the Île-de-France region, and this growth is expected to continue.

While Grand Frais seeks to establish itself in Paris, the brand also continues its development across the entire country, already boasting over 340 points of sale. The brand’s ambition is to reach 600 units nationwide. The two new Parisian stores are expected to open in the 15th arrondissement.

Key Highlights:

  • Grand Frais, a fresh produce chain, plans to open new stores in Paris.
  • A concept focused on proximity and quality has already been successfully implemented.
  • Grand Frais is reinforcing its presence in Paris with a well-established expansion strategy.
