Vénissieux: Auguste-Delaune Aquatic Center Reopens This Monday
Good news for the residents of Vénissieux (Rhône) and its surroundings! The Auguste-Delaune aquatic center, located in the Minguettes district, will reopen its doors to the public this Monday, June 1st, at 10:00 AM, after being closed for over 18 months for extensive renovations. A total of 23.8 million euros was invested in this modernization project.
What’s New at the Auguste-Delaune Aquatic Center?
The completely modernized center has been reorganized into three distinct areas:
- Sports Area: Features a 25-meter semi-open sports pool.
- Leisure Area: Includes a learning pool and an activity pool with water games.
- Well-being Area: Offers a sauna, hammam, and showers for relaxation.
During the summer, the outdoor area will also feature a “Splash pad” for children, beach soccer fields, and a snack bar, which is expected to open in July.
Professional-Led Courses and Activities
The new aquatic center will also offer a variety of professional-led courses for both beginners and experienced swimmers. These include:
- Baby swimming sessions
- Classes to overcome fear of water
- Swimming lessons and stages

The pricing structure is designed to be affordable, especially for Vénissieux residents:
