A comprehensive survey conducted by Time Out, gathering insights from over 24,000 city dwellers, revealed that the French capital secured the top spot for museums and tied for second place in the gallery category.

For the second consecutive year, Paris has been recognized as the best city in the world for museums, achieving an impressive 97% approval rating. This consistent recognition underscores the city’s unparalleled collection of world-class institutions, from the Louvre to the Musée d’Orsay, offering an enriching experience for art and history enthusiasts.
Following Paris in the museum rankings are Madrid, with 90% favorable opinions, and London, which secured third place with 88% approval. London’s strong performance is attributed in part to the free entry offered by many of its prominent institutions.
