Together, this dynamic and engaging duo now steers the helm of ‘Le Goût du Jour’.

“I’ve always loved food,” shares Barbot, who dedicated over 30 years to teaching in high schools and universities. “I even earned a CAP in cooking during the Covid pandemic. It’s a joy to bring happiness to people, even if some days are exhausting.” This sentiment, born from a deep-seated passion, underpins the philosophy of their new restaurant – to create an experience that delights not just the palate, but also the soul.

Chef Musungayi, on the other hand, exudes a quiet confidence about the success of ‘Le Goût du Jour’. “We are in a fantastic neighborhood, and we offer good cuisine,” he states simply. “We should succeed.” Their immediate anticipation is for the terrace permit from the city hall, which will allow them to expand their welcoming space.
