On Friday, a man in his twenties sustained a minor bullet wound to the calf in the Sully district of Décines. The victim, however, declined to file a complaint with the authorities. This incident occurred in a neighborhood that has recently been in the spotlight, notably after a deliberate building fire on May 11, which tragically claimed three lives.
Hours earlier, during the night of Wednesday to Thursday, another man was targeted by gunfire near the République metro station in Villeurbanne. One of the bullets struck his shoe, but he was not injured. These events underscore a concerning trend of violence in the region.
