Billionaire Rodolphe Saadé Buys Luxury Mansion in Paris’s 16th Arrondissement
Paris, August 8, 2026 – Rodolphe Saadé, the French-Lebanese billionaire and CEO of CMA-CGM, has reportedly purchased a private mansion at 15, rue d’Andigné in the upscale La Muette district of Paris for €55 million. The property was previously owned by Evan Spiegel, co-founder of the popular social media application Snapchat.
The acquisition, revealed by CF News Immo, marks another significant investment for Saadé, whose business empire spans maritime freight with CMA-CGM and media through CMA Media (owner of BFMTV, RMC, La Provence, La Tribune, and co-owner of ESJ Paris journalism school).
Evan Spiegel’s Profitable Sale
Evan Spiegel, who became the world’s youngest billionaire at 24, acquired the property in 2020 for €40 million through SCI Joie de Vivre, with his sons Hart and Myles (born in 2018 and 2019) as co-shareholders. Their mother is Australian model Miranda Kerr, whom Spiegel married in May 2017.
Spiegel, who was naturalized French in 2018 and awarded the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by then-Culture Minister Roselyne Bachelot, made a substantial profit of €15 million on the sale, according to CF News Immo.
A Historic and Luxurious Residence
The private mansion, built in 1924 by Henri Deglane – the architect responsible for the facade and nave of the Grand Palais – is constructed from cut stone. It features 11 living rooms spread over five levels, totaling 425 square meters of living space. Additionally, the property boasts a 1,163 square meter garden.
Among its luxurious amenities, the mansion includes a wine cellar, a cinema room, a spa, and a swimming pool in an English-style courtyard. An elevator was also added in 2013.
Saadé’s Expanding Portfolio and Notable Neighbors
While Rodolphe Saadé typically resides in Marseille, where CMA-CGM’s headquarters are located, his new Parisian residence places him in an exclusive neighborhood. His neighbors will include the consuls of Italy and India, as well as the ambassadors of Thailand and Iraq. The property is also a short distance from the Château de la Muette, the headquarters of the OECD, which is currently undergoing renovation.
Saadé has been diversifying his investments beyond maritime transport and media, venturing into luxury hospitality. In 2025, he acquired the five-star hotel Le Yaca in Saint-Tropez through his family holding company, Merit France Investissements. This iconic establishment, famous for hosting scenes from the film “And God Created Woman” starring Brigitte Bardot, reopened in April 2026 after renovations.
This acquisition underscores the continued resilience of the luxury real estate market in Paris, even as other segments may face challenges. The city remains a prime location for high-net-worth individuals seeking prestigious properties.
