Paris Saint-Germain Launches ‘We Ride Paris’: A New Connected Cycling Challenge
Paris, France – August 18, 2026 – The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football club has officially launched ‘We Ride Paris’, an unprecedented collective and sporting challenge centered around connected cycling. Running from August 17 to September 13, 2026, the initiative aims to bring together the communities of football, cycling, and connected sports.
Developed in collaboration with the professional cycling team Groupama-FDJ UNITED and leading players in the cycling and connected sports sectors – including FDJ UNITED, WHOOP, Zwift, and Wilier – ‘We Ride Paris’ seeks to mobilize a wide audience around a fun, athletic, and collective endeavor. Participants are required to cover a minimum distance of 16.4 kilometers, either on the Zwift connected application or on the open road.
Key Highlights of the ‘We Ride Paris’ Challenge
The challenge will feature several key events, including virtual sessions with professional riders from Groupama-FDJ UNITED, a grand finale at the iconic Parc des Princes, and an exclusive auction of custom-designed bicycles. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund – PSG for Communities and the Xana Foundation.
From August 17 to September 13, 2026, participants can engage with ‘We Ride Paris’ via the Zwift application. Riders will control an avatar adorned with a unique event-themed kit and a virtual Wilier Filante SLR ID2 bicycle, traversing a 16.4-kilometer virtual loop through the streets of Paris. The virtual route will showcase iconic landmarks such as the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the Jardin des Tuileries, and Montmartre, all decorated in the event’s colors.
Collective sessions will also be hosted on Zwift, providing participants with the opportunity to ride alongside professional Groupama-FDJ UNITED cyclists, fostering a shared experience.
To ensure accessibility for all cycling enthusiasts, individuals without a Zwift account can still participate by sharing a link to a bike ride of at least 16.4 kilometers, recorded using their preferred sports application. Registration and detailed participation guidelines are available on the dedicated website: https://psg.fr/we-ride-paris.
Exclusive Finale at Parc des Princes and Exciting Prizes
Following the challenge, six participants who have registered via the dedicated website and completed the 16.4-kilometer challenge (either on Zwift or via a sports application) will be randomly selected to receive an invitation to an exclusive event at the Parc des Princes. At the Parisian stadium, these winners will partake in a unique collective Zwift session alongside club personalities and professional riders from Groupama-FDJ UNITED.
Throughout the operation, numerous prizes will be awarded to participants. These include VIP experiences to attend professional cycling races with FDJ UNITED, Zwift Ride smart bikes and annual subscriptions to the platform, official ‘We Ride Paris’ kits, WHOOP connected bracelets and monthly subscriptions, and gift vouchers for the official Paris Saint-Germain online store.
Charitable Auction for PSG for Communities and Xana Foundation
To enhance this unique experience, Paris Saint-Germain has collaborated with international artist Edgar Plans, who has crafted the distinctive graphic identity for ‘We Ride Paris’. This artistic vision has been applied to a cycling kit, a Zwift Ride smart bike, and an exceptional Wilier bicycle, seamlessly blending the worlds of Paris Saint-Germain, PSG For Communities, and the Xana Foundation.
As part of this initiative, Wilier and Zwift will each provide five Filante SLR ID2 bicycles and five Zwift Ride smart bikes, respectively, all adorned with the ‘We Ride Paris’ colors. These specially created items will be auctioned by Paris Saint-Germain, with all proceeds benefiting PSG For Communities, through its Endowment Fund, and the Xana Foundation, to support their respective charitable endeavors.
With ‘We Ride Paris’, Paris Saint-Germain continues to develop innovative sporting experiences that unite a broader community around shared values of camaraderie, self-transcendence, and solidarity. More than just a challenge, ‘We Ride Paris’ celebrates the power of sport to build bridges between disciplines and communities, serving meaningful causes.
