Man Arrested for Filming Women in Cinema Toilets Near Lyon
Vaulx-en-Velin, August 27 – A man has been apprehended this past weekend at the Pathé Carré de Soie cinema in Vaulx-en-Velin, a suburb of Lyon, on suspicion of filming women in the establishment’s restrooms. The individual is believed to have used a specialized camera to record women without their consent. The incident has prompted an ongoing investigation.

According to reports from Le Progrès, the suspect was caught this Saturday, August 22, attempting to film through a hole in a toilet partition. He allegedly used an endoscope camera, a very thin device designed to film in hard-to-reach areas. The incident occurred around 2 PM when two women alerted cinema security, who then promptly contacted the police.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found the suspect locked inside the women’s toilets. Although no camera was found on his person at the time of the arrest, the 49-year-old alleged voyeur was taken into custody and placed under police guard.
