Paris, April 14, 2026 – French actress Nadia Farès, 57, was found unconscious at the bottom of a swimming pool in the 9th arrondissement of Paris on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Swimmers at the Rue Blanche pool came to her aid after observing her in what was described as a “yoga position at the bottom of the water.”
Emergency Response and Hospitalization
According to reports from the public prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Le Parisien, the incident occurred around noon. After being pulled from the water, Farès was attended to by firefighters and subsequently transported to the hospital. Two swimmers reportedly performed cardiac massage on the actress before the arrival of emergency services.
Upon her arrival at the hospital, Farès was resuscitated and subsequently placed in an induced coma. Her current condition has not been publicly disclosed.
Investigation Launched into the Incident
An investigation has been opened to determine the exact cause of the injuries. The inquiry has been assigned to the police station in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. The public prosecutor’s office has stated that “no offense has been identified at this stage.”
Nadia Farès gained prominence for her role in the film “Les Rivières pourpres” (Crimson Rivers). The circumstances surrounding her being found unconscious remain under investigation.
