Following its immense success in 2025, the “Art Paris 2026” edition will return to the majestic spaces of the Grand Palais in Paris, from April 9 to 12, with a demanding and ambitious program. This exciting and passionate event promises to be a highlight for art enthusiasts.
A Must-Attend Event for Art Lovers
The Art Paris fair is back at the Grand Palais, from April 9 to 12, for its 28th edition, which will feature some 165 French and international gallery owners. This unmissable event, at the heart of a capital in full artistic renaissance, promises to be demanding and ambitious, following the very wide success of the 2025 edition, which was crowned with success, with 87,000 visitors, 25% more than the previous year.
Curated Themes and Emerging Talents
This year, the themes have been entrusted to two guest curators invited to design the journeys between the works. Loïc Le Gall, director of the Passerelle contemporary art center in Brest since 2019, has brought together 21 artists on the theme “Art and Language in France,” with the ambition of exploring “the richness and sometimes the enigma of sign systems and linguistic structures in French contemporary art.”
For her part, Alexia Fabre, former director of the Beaux-Arts de Paris and deputy director of the Centre Pompidou Francilien in Massy, has selected some twenty international artists ready to embark on contemporary creation through the prism of repair. “By weaving links between the past, present, and future, repair evokes care, attention, the time spent preserving, maintaining both an object and an idea, a person or a story,” states a press release.
This 28th edition of the “Art Paris” fair also aims to highlight new talents with the “Promesses” sector, which will host 27 galleries with less than 10 years of experience, selected by Marc Donnadieu, a member of the Art Paris selection committee and independent exhibition curator.
Event Details and Impact
Art Paris Fair will be held from April 9 to 12, at the Grand Palais, Paris (8th arrondissement). The fair’s continued growth and success underscore Paris’s position as a vibrant center for modern and contemporary art, attracting both national and international attention.
The increase in visitors in the previous year, with 87,000 attendees, demonstrates a strong public interest and engagement with the art scene. This year’s curated approach and focus on new talents are expected to further enhance the fair’s appeal and contribute to its ongoing success.
The event is a significant cultural fixture for the city, contributing to its artistic dynamism and offering a platform for both established and emerging artists and galleries. The Grand Palais, a historic and iconic venue, provides a fitting backdrop for this prestigious art fair.
