“Chez André” Expands with New Butcher Shop in Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure, Near Lyon

Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure, France, May 27, 2026 – The renowned butcher shop “Chez André” is officially opening its newest location today, Wednesday, May 27, at 8:30 AM in Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure, a commune in the eastern metropolitan area of Lyon. This expansion marks the eighth store for the brand in the region, further solidifying its presence and commitment to traditional butchery and local sourcing.

The new gourmet space, located at 122 avenue Charles-de-Gaulle, has been under construction for several months. It promises to delight local residents with its well-established concept: a passion for traditional butchery and a short supply chain, ensuring freshness and quality.

A Legacy of Quality and Local Sourcing

The SME “Chez André,” part of the Boucheries André group, traces its origins back to the 1930s in Villars-les-Dombes, Ain. The brand is known for its rigorous selection of the best meat breeds and operates its own cattle breeding sites in Ain and Loire. This integrated approach, from pasture selection to display, including the cutting process, is managed entirely in-house, eliminating intermediaries and guaranteeing product integrity.

A Wide Range of Fresh Products and Local Delicacies

The new store in the Lyon metropolitan area will offer an extensive selection of products, including “absolutely fresh” meat cuts prepared by “passionate artisan butchers.” Customers will also find a wide range of charcuterie, salads, cheeses, and antipasti. Beyond the traditional butcher offerings, “Chez André” also provides a grocery section, a wine and beer cellar, and fresh fruits and vegetables.

All prepared products are crafted “artisanally” in their regional workshop, the Sodely site based in Brignais. This commitment to local production and craftsmanship underscores the brand’s dedication to quality and regional heritage.

Grand Opening Celebrations and Customer Engagement

To celebrate the grand opening, “Chez André” has organized various activities for its customers. These include a game terminal with over 300 prizes to be won until June 30, entertainment for children, and sports demonstrations. These initiatives aim to create a festive atmosphere and engage the local community in this new culinary destination.

“Chez Andr锑s Growing Presence in the Lyon Region

This new Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure location is the eighth “Chez André” address around Lyon, joining existing stores in Rillieux-la-Pape, Champagne-au-Mont-d’Or, and Villefranche-sur-Saône. The continuous expansion reflects the brand’s success and its ability to meet the growing demand for high-quality, locally sourced meat and gourmet products in the region.

The opening is expected to contribute to the local economy by providing fresh, quality products to residents and creating employment opportunities in the area. “Chez André” remains a key player in promoting traditional French butchery and supporting local agriculture.
