Clichy Bridge in Paris: Nightly Closures and Detours from September 21, 2026

From Monday, September 21 to Friday, October 9, 2026, the Clichy Bridge, a crucial link between Clichy and Asnières-sur-Seine at the northern gates of Paris, will be subject to significant traffic disruptions. These are due to essential resurfacing work on the bridge’s road surface.

During this period, the bridge will be completely closed to traffic every night from 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM. Additionally, motorists should prepare for possible daytime restrictions between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, where traffic may be reduced to a single lane in each direction. These measures are expected to cause delays, particularly during peak morning and afternoon hours.

Planned Detour Routes

To minimize inconvenience for commuters, specific detour routes have been established for the nightly closures:

From Asnières towards Clichy:

  • Drivers should take Quai Aulagnier, then Avenue Laurent Cély, and cross the Seine via the Gennevilliers Bridge.
  • From there, continue on Rue Claude Debussy, Boulevard du Général Leclerc, and finally Quai de Clichy.
  • Note: This is a longer detour, adding several kilometers to the journey.

From Clichy towards Asnières:

  • The detour is shorter, directing vehicles towards the Asnières Bridge.
  • Follow Quai de Clichy and then Quai du Docteur Dervaux.

Motorists are strongly advised to allow for extra travel time, especially during the evening when closures begin at 9:30 PM.

Practical Information for Commuters

To navigate these works effectively, consider the following advice:

  • Avoid the Clichy Bridge area between 9:30 PM and 5:30 AM for the entire duration of the works.
  • If possible, also try to avoid the bridge between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to bypass potential daytime restrictions and slowdowns.
  • Alternative bridges to prioritize:
    • Gennevilliers Bridge: Recommended for travel from Asnières towards Clichy.
    • Asnières Bridge: Recommended for travel from Clichy towards Asnières.
  • Plan your route in advance to anticipate potential delays and choose the most efficient alternative.

The works are scheduled to conclude on Friday, October 9, 2026.
