Lyon, July 8, 2026 – The Lyon Pride March is scheduled to proceed on Friday, July 11, 2026, marking its 30th anniversary. Organized primarily by the Centre LGBTI de Lyon, the event will commence at 1 PM from Place Maréchal-Lyautey (Lyon 6e). Despite concerns over high temperatures, which led to the cancellation of an earlier Pride event on June 27, organizers have confirmed that this march will go ahead.
A Milestone Celebration Amidst Challenges

The Centre LGBTI de Lyon, the main organizer, has been instrumental in ensuring the continuity of this vital event for the community. “We call for vigilance nonetheless and to bring gourds/water bottles, sunscreen and headgear!” the Centre LGBTI recommended.
The Route and Program
The march will kick off with speeches from the “inter-orga,” a collective of 40 associations within the LGBTI center, and a representative from Global Black Pride, a non-profit organization supporting the Black LGBTQI+ community. Following the march, an open-air event will be held from 7 PM to 11 PM, featuring drag shows and DJ sets. Proceeds from this evening event will support four projects dedicated to LGBTI rights, including the organization of the 2027 Pride.
