It all went down yesterday, Sunday, December 14, 2025. Lyon’s Mayor, Grégory Doucet, was on France 3 Rhône-Alpes, trying to explain the city’s commitment to safety. He proudly declared, “For the City of Lyon, safety is first and foremost about people. We have increased staff, today we have a little over 310 police officers.”
Sounds good, right? A nice, solid number. But hold up, because that’s where the plot thickens faster than a French onion soup! ????
