Paris, August 23, 2026 – The inaugural Netflix Book Festival is set to transform Ground Control – Halle Event in Paris into a literary hub from October 16 to 18, 2026. This groundbreaking event, a collaboration between Netflix and the Centre National du Livre (CNL), promises three days of immersive experiences for book lovers and fans of screen adaptations alike. Entry is free upon reservation.

An Unprecedented Cultural Event in the Capital

This unique cultural gathering will take place in the 12th arrondissement’s iconic Ground Control. Organized by Netflix in conjunction with the CNL, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, the festival aims to highlight the profound connection between literary creation and its audiovisual adaptations. The Halle Event will be entirely dedicated to literature, embodying an ambitious cultural initiative.

Exploring the Impact of Adaptations

A key component of the festival will be the presentation of an exclusive study conducted with GfK. This research will provide data-driven insights into the impact of adaptations on the book industry in France, specifically within Paris, underscoring the festival’s commitment to understanding and promoting the literary ecosystem.

Ephemeral Library and Rich Cultural Program

A central feature of the festival is its ephemeral library, designed to encourage public engagement with books. It will house a diverse selection of works, including novels, manga, comic books, and graphic novels, provided through the collaboration of several dozen French publishing houses. This collection exemplifies the strong partnership between the publishing and audiovisual sectors.

Throughout the three days, a dedicated stage area will host a dynamic artistic and cultural program. Attendees can look forward to a series of roundtables, book clubs, musical readings, debates, and various activities, all designed to foster discussions about literature, its adaptations, and the creative process.

Free Access to a Wealth of Literary Experiences

The Netflix Book Festival at Ground Control – Halle Event offers free admission, though reservations are mandatory. This provides an excellent opportunity for literature enthusiasts and curious visitors to enjoy a rich cultural program without financial barriers. The event location, Ground Control, is situated at 81 Rue du Charolais, 75012 Paris.

The festival will run on Friday, October 16, Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, 2026. Further details and reservations can be found on the Ground Control Paris website.
