Lyon, April 25, 2026 – The French ready-to-wear brand Weill, a historical fashion house established in Paris in 1892, has made its grand return to Lyon after a decade-long absence. The brand officially opened its new boutique in the city’s 6th arrondissement, marking a significant comeback for the esteemed label.

Weill’s Comeback: A New Chapter in Lyon

Weill had previously maintained a presence in Lyon, with a boutique located on the prestigious Rue Edouard Herriot in the 2nd arrondissement. However, that store closed its doors in 2016, leaving a void for the brand’s loyal clientele in the city. Ten years later, Weill has chosen a new location to re-establish its presence.

The new boutique is situated at 3 Avenue Maréchal de Saxe, in the bustling 6th arrondissement of Lyon. Nathalie, the manager of the new store, will be at the helm, bringing her 30 years of experience in the ready-to-wear industry to this new venture. She expressed her excitement and pride in leading this opening.

A Strategy to Attract a Younger Clientele

One of the key challenges for Nathalie and the Weill brand will be to rejuvenate its customer base. With a history spanning 130 years, Weill is known for its classic and elegant designs. Nathalie remains optimistic about attracting a new generation of shoppers.

“The challenge will be to succeed in rejuvenating the brand’s clientele, which has 130 years of history,” she noted. “I already have many young women coming into the boutique, just to look. That’s a good sign.” This indicates a promising start in drawing a younger demographic to the brand’s offerings.

High-End Fashion and Accessories Available

The new Weill boutique offers a range of high-end clothing, leather goods, and accessories, including jewelry. Customers interested in acquiring a piece from the brand can expect prices starting around 150 euros for a classic t-shirt.

The store has been open since the end of March and operates from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This new opening is expected to revitalize Weill’s presence in the Lyonnaise fashion scene and offer residents a renewed opportunity to engage with the brand’s timeless style.

The return of Weill to Lyon is part of a broader trend of established brands seeking to re-engage with key urban markets. The strategic choice of the 6th arrondissement reflects a desire to tap into a vibrant and fashion-conscious community, while Nathalie’s experience is anticipated to play a crucial role in the boutique’s success.

This initiative also highlights the dynamic nature of Lyon’s retail landscape, which continues to attract and welcome both new and returning brands, solidifying its reputation as a significant fashion hub in France.
