Lyon’s 2026-2027 Association Forums: Find Your Next Hobby or Volunteer Role
From August 29 to September 12, 2026, the association forums will take over Lyon’s nine arrondissements. Organized by each district’s town hall, these events allow the public to directly meet Lyon’s associative players, discover their activities, and learn about engagement opportunities for the 2026-2027 season. Nearly 1,500 associations will be present in total.
The 2026 Association Forum: An Unmissable Event in Each Lyon Arrondissement
In Lyon, the associative fabric represents much more than a simple collection of clubs and structures. It constitutes a real driving force for local life, offering every inhabitant the possibility of practicing a sport, exploring a cultural activity, learning a new discipline, or forging links with their neighbors. Each year, thousands of Lyonnais find their place in one of these associations, whether as participants or volunteers.
To facilitate this connection, the City of Lyon organizes, in partnership with its arrondissement town halls, association forums spread across the entire municipal territory. These days offer a privileged setting to meet association leaders directly, ask questions, and concretely discover the proposed activities thanks to the many animations and demonstrations planned throughout the day. This is the ideal opportunity to calmly prepare for the 2026-2027 season.
In the Rhône, Lyon stands out for the density and diversity of its associative network. The municipality dedicates approximately 75 million euros each year to it and provides numerous municipal facilities, such as gymnasiums, schools, or arrondissement town hall premises, to support the projects and activities of associations. If you are looking for festivals in Lyon or neighborhood events not to be missed at the start of the new school year, these forums are among the highlights of the season.
