OMG! This New Tiramisu Spot in Lyon is Breaking the Internet! 🤯

Alright, dessert lovers, buckle up! Lyon just got a new spot that’s got everyone (and we mean EVERYONE) talking. We’re talking about Tiramiisu, and trust us, you NEED to know about this place. Forget everything you thought you knew about tiramisu, because Aurélie and Gauthier are changing the game! 🚀

Who Are These Dessert Geniuses?! 🤔

Meet Aurélie and Gauthier, the dynamic duo behind Tiramiisu. These two lovebirds, fresh out of the prestigious Paul Bocuse Institute, spent two years perfecting their craft from home, delivering their sweet creations. And now? They’ve opened their very own shop in Lyon’s 1st arrondissement, and it’s an absolute hit! “This is how we made our first money, so we thought, why not share it with more people?” says Gauthier. And boy, are we glad they did! 🙌

Tiramisu, But Make It ✨FANCY✨ (and Viral!)

So, what’s on the menu at Tiramiisu? Well, tiramisu, obviously! But not just any tiramisu. They’ve gone alcohol-free and created their own unique recipes. “The traditional recipe depends on the regions of Italy and everyone’s taste. We chose to make our own recipe according to our tastes, and it seems to please a lot of people,” Gauthier proudly shares. And the flavors?! Get ready for this:

  • Classic (duh!)
  • Speculoos (our top pick! 🤩)
  • Cookie Dough
  • Caramel Peanut
  • Strawberry (seasonal fruit special!)

We tried the Speculoos and Caramel Peanut. While the Caramel Peanut was a *tad* heavy on the peanut for us (needed more caramel!), the Speculoos was pure perfection – not too sweet, perfectly melt-in-your-mouth, and super balanced. You HAVE to try it! 🤤

The Cookiemisu: A Legend in the Making! 🍪☕

But wait, there’s more! Aurélie and Gauthier didn’t stop at just amazing tiramisu. They invented something called the “cookiemisu”! 🤯 “It’s a flattened coffee cookie with tiramisu cream on top,” Gauthier explains. This bad boy is so popular, it’s often SOLD OUT! We arrived at 6 PM, and the line was out the door! The last cookiemisu was snatched up before we could even get our hands on it. Talk about FOMO! 😭

Drinks & Vibes: The Full Tiramiisu Experience! 🍹

They’ve also got a signature drink: the tiramisu latte! Imagine a cold coffee latte with tiramisu cream and cocoa on top. Yes, please! We also tried their lemonade and bissap (hibiscus and mint drink), and both were super refreshing. Special shoutout to the bissap – a new favorite! They even have savory sandwiches and classic cookies. These guys are selling 100-150 pastries a day during the week, and DOUBLE that on Saturdays! 🤯

Weekly Surprises! 🍓🍋🌰

“We chose a single product focus to concentrate on quality and not diversify too much,” says Aurélie. But don’t let that fool you! They constantly switch things up. Each month features a fruit pastry (strawberry right now!), then a pastry-inspired tiramisu (lemon tart this week!), and finally, a nut-based one (hazelnut cream!). It’s a never-ending dessert adventure! 🥳

Insta-Worthy Decor! 📸

The shop itself is super chic and totally Instagrammable, decked out in tiramisu colors: light yellow (like the cream!) and brown (like the coffee!). You can grab your treats to go or snag one of the eight cozy seats inside. The vibe is warm, and the owners are incredibly welcoming. ❤️

So, what are you waiting for?! Get yourself to Tiramiisu NOW and join the hype! Don’t forget to snap a pic of your cookiemisu (if you can get one!) and tag #TiramiisuLyon! 📍
